Two lecturers in Odisha’s Bolangir suspended for submitting fake marksheets

The two lecturers been identified as Narendra Nag and Lingaraj Meher, both associated with Jogimunda Rajendra Meher Higher Secondary School.

Bolangir: The Odisha government has taken action against two lecturers in Bolangir on charges of submitting fake mark sheets. This move comes after concerns were raised about the presence of fake teachers in the state.

The two lecturers in question have been identified as Narendra Nag and Lingaraj Meher, both associated with Jogimunda Rajendra Meher Higher Secondary School. Nag taught Political Science, while Meher was teaching Odia at the educational institution.

According to reports, both lecturers allegedly presented fake mark sheets claiming to be from Sambalpur University.

After a thorough examination of their records and following a report from the school’s Principal, the State Higher Education Department issued a letter ordering their suspension.

Additionally, the department instructed the Patnagarh Sub-Collector to take appropriate action against the accused.

Following their suspension, the college management has lodged a complaint against both individuals at the Patnagarh police station.

Furthermore, the fake lecturers have been directed to return their entire salary, amounting to Rs 31,60,252 each, which they received as block grants and from the college management.
