Two injured in monkey attack in Odisha’s Anandapur

At least two persons were injured due to monkey attack in Odisha’s Anandapur area of Keonjhar district on Tuesday.

Keonjhar: At least two persons were injured due to monkey attack in Odisha’s Anandapur area of Keonjhar district on Tuesday.

The injured have been identified as Upendra Jena and Surabhi Dalei of Salapada village under the Ghasipura police station limits of the district.

Sources said that Upendra Jena’s health condition was not well and he was under medication. Unfortunately, he was attacked again which left him critically injured.

Both Upendra Jena and Surabhi Dalei have been admitted at Anandapur Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.

“He had returned from Cuttack Hospital eight days ago. Now, again he is admitted at hospital as he was attacked by a monkey. The money has bitten him on his leg,” said a relative of Upendra.

“It has also attacked another woman of the village. Therefore, the forest official should take step either to disperse the money from the village area or catch it and leave in forest areas,” she added.
