Gunupur: The trap cameras have captured a tiger in Rayagada district of Odisha on Tuesday said reliable reports, the locals are terrified. The tiger sighting had been reported by the locals from Gunupur-Gajapati border in Rayagada, after which trap cams were set up.

For some days now, there has been panic about the tiger. The tiger has been caught in trap cameras installed at various places by the forest department. The forest department has assumed that the tiger must have crossed the Udayagiri border and entered the Rayagada district border.

The forest department has alerted the villagers in the hilly areas of Padmapur, Dolma, Tablaguda, Tarpaguda, Likitipadar through the use of bells to be aware of the presence of tigers. Villagers are afraid to let their cattle into the forest for fear of tigers. The tiger movements are monitored on a regular basis.
