Tension continues in Odisha’s Bangomunda, Section 144 clamped

Titlagarh sub-divisional magistrate Dayamaya Padhi issued a notification in this regard today stating that the prohibitory orders will remain in force till Thursday midnight.

This apart, the local police also conducted a flag march in Bangomunda, said Padhi adding that adequate police force has been deployed in the village to maintain law and order.

It is to be noted here that a clash erupted between two groups during the ‘Chhatar Jatra’ two days ago. As many as five persons were injured due to the group fight.

Soon, hundreds of supporters of the injured persons gheraoed Bangomunda police station and demanded immediate arrest of the attackers.
