Sundergarh: More than 30 passengers injured as Govt bus meets accident

Bonai: In a tragic incident more than 30 passengers sustained injury after the Government bus in which they were travelling met an accident today morning in Sundergarh district of Odisha. The accident took place in the Tamra ghati in Bonai area.

As per reports, the government bus carrying passengers from Gurundia Pankadi area of ​​Bonai Sub-division was on its way to Rourkela when as claimed, the brake of the bus failed at Tamra Ghati. Accordingly the bus driver lost control over the steering and the bus hit a large roadside boulder.

Reportedly, 30 to 35 passengers sustained injury in this accident while health condition of a few of them is said to be critical.

The injured passengers were immediately taken to the Gurundia hospital for treatment while the critical passengers were rushed to Rourkela hospital.

After getting information Gurundia police reached the spot and seized the bus. Further investigation of the case is underway.
