State Assembly adjourned due to unruly behaviour of Ruling & Opposition leaders
Bhubaneswar: Continuous disruption by ruling and opposition leaders on Wednesday put a halt to the Question Hour in the State Assembly for the third day in a row.
While the Congress brought forth farmers’ issues, the BJP wanted to discuss chit fund scam in the assembly today. The saffron party leaders also brought attention to corruption in the Remuna Land Bank case. Similarly, the ruling BJD leaders demanded discussion of the ‘independent state’ category for Odisha by standing on their respective seats.
The relentless commotion and unruly behaviour forced the speaker to adjourn the house for an hour. The situation prevailed even during the Zero Hour. Hence, the house had to be adjourned till 3 pm by the speaker Mr Niranjan Pujari.
