Six killed in road accident in Malkangiri: CM announces ex-gratia for kin of deceased persons

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his deep grief over the death of six people killed in a road accident in Malkangiri district today and announced ex-gratia for their family members.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his deep grief over the death of six people killed in a road accident in Malkangiri district earlier today and announced ex-gratia for their family members.

The Odisha CM extended his deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased labourers. He also ordered for free treatment of the people who were injured in the accident and wished for their speedy recovery.

Six people were killed while seven others, who are said to be the residents of Kusumguda area of Nabarangpur district, were critically injured when a cement-laden tipper on which they were traveling to Jodamba from Chitrakonda met with an accident.

The injured person were rescued and admitted at Chitrakonda Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
