Similipal National Park in Odisha closed due to continuous rainfall

The Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha will remain closed today for tourists following continuous rainfall in the area.

Karanjia: The Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha will remain closed today for tourists following continuous rainfall in the area, said reliable sources in this regard.

Yesterday, the Barehipani area in Mayurbhanj district recorded the maximum rainfall of 25 mm.

As per reports from reliable sources, the forest department decided to close Similipal National Park today as the forest roads became muddy at various places due to heavy rains. The decision has been taken so that the tourists do not face any difficulty while walking through the sanctuary.

It is noteworthy mentioning that the Similipal National Park will reopen for the tourists during the night. The same has been informed by Similipal North Wildlife Division ACF Nikesh Mohapatra.
