Road accident in Odisha’s Ganjam, 5 killed after bikes collide head-on

Sorada: In a tragic incident, five people lost their lives while one was reported critical after two bikes collided head on in Ganjam. The road accident took place near Podakhari village in Sorada of Odisha’s Ganjam district, said reliable reports in this regard.
Reports from reliable sources state that the two bikes were carrying three passengers each. One of the bikes was on its way to Asurbandh from Sorada while the other bike was coming back to Sorada when they collided head on, resulting in the accident.
Reportedly, four of the six people died on spot while two others remained critical. The critically injured in the Ganjam road accident have been admitted at Brahmapur medical for necessary medical attention. One of the two people died at the hospital while undergoing medical treatment.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
Officials from the Sorada police station have arrived at the spot and initiated a probe into the matter. Investigation into the case is underway. Further details are awaited.
