Rath Yatra 2023: Lord Jagannath, sibling deities to adorn Adapa Mandapa in Gundicha Temple today

The ‘Adapa Mandap Bije’ rituals of Lord Jagannath and his siblings will be held in Gundicha Temple in Puri today evening.

Puri: The ‘Adapa Mandap Bije’ rituals of Lord Jagannath and his siblings will be held in Puri today evening. A day after Rath Yatra, the three sibling deities Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will enter the Adapa Mandapa inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Gundicha temple today.

After the sandhya dhupa ritual, the deities along with Lord Sudarshan will be escorted to the Adapa Mandapa inside the Gundicha Temple in a ceremonial procession. There devotees can have darshan of the Lords.

The Adapa Mandapa is also considered as the birth place of the Lords. Today, all the rituals of the Lords will be performed atop the chariots.

Yesterday, the three chariots Taladhwaja, Darpadalan and Nandighosha rolled on the Grand Road from Singhadwar and reached the Gundicha Temple.

Meanwhile, a large congregation of devotees was witnessed near the Gundicha Temple right from the wee hours on Saturday to avail darshan of deities placed atop their thrones on chariots.
