Puri Srimandir Servitor Murder Case: 4 more accused held

Puri: In today’s development regarding the murder of the former member of Puri Jagannath temple managing committee, Krushna Chandra Pratihari, three more accused have been arrested by the police. With these arrests, the total number of people arrested rose to 10.

The arrested accused have been identified as Kunmun Suar, Tutu Mahapatra, Jagan Khatei and Hari Panda.

Earlier on Monday, the main conspirators Kalia Singhari & Dolagobinda Singhari along with Muna Patra, Sandeep Jena, Kalu Panigrahi, and Baba Mohapatra were arrested.

Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh had said that Kalia and Dalagobinda had paid around Rs 2 lakh to prepare the blueprint and arrange logistics for the crime, and plan for escape routes. Munna Patra had supplied weapons for the crime while Baba Mohapatra was on the spot to inform about Pratihari whereas Sandeep Jena had the hideout plans, he added.

Pratihari was shot dead by some unidentified miscreants near the Barabati area. An eyewitness has stated that two miscreants came on a motorcycle and shot two rounds of bullets on Pratihari following which they fled from the spot. It is being suspected that Pratihari has been shot dead over some past enmity.
