Principal Adviser to CM Asit Tripathy reviews tourism projects, 15 beach shack to be built in Odisha 

Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Chairman of WODC, Asit Tripathy reviewed the ongoing projects of the tourism department.

Bhubaneswar: Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Chairman of Western Odisha Development Council (WODC), Asit Tripathy today reviewed the ongoing projects of the tourism department.

While chairing the meeting at the Kharvel Bhavan here today Tripathy said that growth of tourism potential will boost State’s development along with creating more opportunities for employment of local people.

Tripathy further said that the tourism development in terms of infrastructure and other amenities in both Harishankar Temple in Balangir district  and Nrushingnath in Bargarh district will be completed by December, 2023. The construction of market complex, parking area, entrance plaza, bathing ghat, toilet block, shops, drinking water facility will also be dedicated for the tourist very soon, he added.

During the meeting, it was mooted to build 15 beach shack in the locations such as Gopalpur in Ganjam district, Chandipur in Balasore district, Talasari Balasore district, Paradeep in Jagatsinghpur district and Sonapur in Ganjam district. It is also decided to install a big cruise vessel in the Hirakud Reservoir in Sambalpur district.

Surendra Kumar, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Tourism Department and other officials took part in the review meeting.
