Police atrocity in Bhadrak of Odisha 4 injured, detailed report here

Bhadrak: There has been an instance of police atrocity in Bhadrak district of Odisha on locals as they tried to stop a truck involved in an accident.

According to reports, four people were injured in the police atrocity in Bhadrak. The police and common people clashed to stop the sand-laden truck which caused the accident. The incident took place at Bonth Chakka in Bhadrak.

During the ‘No Entry’ period, a truck loaded with sand in Srivantpur hit a school boy and escaped  away, while the locals stopped the truck at Bonth Chakka.

The police reached the spot and took the truck into custody and brought it to a halt and questioned the driver. This led to a clash between the local people and the police. It appears that the police chased people away and beat up as many as four of them.

In a shocking incident, a policeman beat up a youth in Odisha and the entire act has been caught on CCTV, said reports on February 7. There have been reports that the youth was allegedly mercilessly beaten up by the policeman on the road in Pipili in Puri district of Odisha

The video of the entire incident has been doing the rounds on various social media platforms, said reports. In the video, the policeman is seen beating up the youth mercilessly. The youth in the video has been identified as Nrusingha Pradhan of Hasanpur village under Pipili block.

The policeman is seen beating up the boy with a wooden plank. The beating was so merciless that in the video it is seen that onlookers were shocked and stopped to witness the entire act.

Sources said the reason for the policeman beating up the youth so mercilessly is yet to be ascertained. The policeman involved in the act is unavailable for any comments in this matter. Further detailed reports awaited in this matter.
