Pick up van overturns in Odisha’s Sundargarh, 1 dead and 20 injured

In a tragic incident, a pick up van has overturned in Odisha's Sundargarh district of Friday, said reports. 

Sundargarh: In a tragic incident, a pick up van has overturned in Odisha’s Sundargarh district of Friday, said reports.

According to reliable reports, the pick up wan turned turtle near Gulatha village under Bhasma police station as the driver allegedly lost control over the wheels.

This led to the death of one person on the spot and critically injured as many as 20 persons. It has been reported that the van was transporting a few people of a sankirtan (bhajan) party from Jharsuguda to Sundargarh when the incident took place.

The local people and the police rushed to the spot and rescued the people and admitted them to the nearby hospital. The deceased is yet to be identified. The police has recovered the body and sent it for postmortem.
