More than 100 people have been affected by diarrhea in Belabahali village under Anandapur Sub-division in Keonjar district since Monday night.
Around 50 affected people are undergoing treatment at Anandapur Sub-divisional Hospital while others are still in the village and are yet to get any medication.
Though the exact reason behind the disease is yet to be known, the villagers alleged that the contaminated water which they use is the cause of the water-borne sickness. They also urged the district administration to send a team of doctors to the village for the treatment of the affected people.
