Orissa High Court overturns Family Court’s order, grants divorce to Anubhav from Varsha
In a major relief to Kendrapara MP and Ollywood star Anubhav Mohanty, the Orissa High Court today rejected the ruling of the Cuttack Family Court and granted him divorce actress wife Varsha Priyadarshini.
Cuttack: In a major relief to Kendrapara MP and Ollywood star Anubhav Mohanty, the Orissa High Court today rejected the ruling of the Cuttack Family Court and granted him permission to divorce actress wife Varsha Priyadarshini.
On September 22, the Family Court had rejected the divorce petition filed by Anubhav. The court had also rejected Varsha’s plea to stay together as couple.
Later, the Kendrapara MP moved the High Court on October 17 challenging the verdict of the Family court.
It is to be noted here that Mohanty had filed the divorce petition in Delhi-based court on July 6, 2020 with an aim to get separated from wife Varsha, whom he had married in 2014. However, Varsha had approached the Supreme Court to transfer the case to Cuttack. Following which, the case was shifted to the family court in Cuttack on March 5, 2021.
