Odisha vigilance raid on IIC of Boipariguda, Rs. 25 lakh cash recovered till now

In the Odisha Vigilance raid on IIC of Boipariguda, cash bundles of Rs 500 approximately amounting to Rs. 25 lakh has been found.

Koraput: In the Odisha Vigilance raid on IIC of Boipariguda, cash bundles of Rs 500 approximately amounting to Rs. 25 lakh has been found. It is worth mentioning that the cash was recovered in the morning on Tuesday during searches in his government quarter at Cuttack.

According to an official vigilance report, the approximate amount recovered is said to be over Rs 25 lakhs. Further it is worth mentioning that the search is still underway and detailed reports in this matter is awaited.

The Inspector in Charge (IIC) of Boipariguda Police Station in Koraput district of Odisha has been intercepted by the sleuths of Odisha Vigilance on Monday. He has reportedly been detained by the officials from Jeypore Vigilance.

The tainted police officer has been identified as Sushanta Satpathy.

As per reports, the accused was carrying Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand cash and travelling in an OSRTC bus. After getting information from a reliable source about it Vigilance sleuths from Jeypore intercepted him near Tankua. Reportedly, cash money to the tune of Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand has been recovered from his possession. He was on his way to Cuttack from Boipariguda.

After the Odisha Vigilance raid on IIC he was reportedly being interrogated. He has been detained by Jeypore Vigilance team in this connection.

As per latest reports, Rs 1,80,000 recovered from his office chamber at Boipariguda Police Station during search. That means a total cash amount of Rs 4.5 lakhs has been seized from the police IIC’s possession so far. He has been detained and is being examined in this connection.
