Odisha to experience heavy rainfall till August 3, alerts issued

An orange warning to 13 districts and a yellow warning to 11 districts has been issued in view of heavy to very heavy rainfall tomorrow.

Bhubaneswar: The active low pressure over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into depression. This has resulted in heavy rainfall in Odisha. The depression is centered over the Bay of Bengal, resulting in consistent rainfall.

The meteorological department predicts heavy rainfall in 23 districts for today and tomorrow, including coastal and northern areas of the state.

An orange warning has been issued to 13 districts in view of heavy to very heavy rainfall tomorrow. Additionally, a yellow warning has been issued to 11 districts as well. Some areas are likely to experience heavy rainfall ranging from 7 cm to 20 cm.

Odisha monsoon is likely to start declining gradually from August 3.
