Police have arrested Sushant Kumar Rautaray, a peon who lives near Chudang Sahi Chinmay School. Sushant works as a peon in the temple office.

Sushant has been caught on the CCTV stealing while counting the money.

The money donated by the devotees in the Mahaprabhu’s Hundi is counted every afternoon at the office inside the temple. A senior administrative officer of the temple is present at this time. In the presence of the officer, the staff of the administrative office of the Srimandir count the money.

Accused Sushant was engaged in counting money on Saturday. Counting of money started from 4 pm. Sushant went out in between. After this incident, the suspicion arose he came to the branch office and informed the supervisor of Srimandir, Baxi Ramachandra Pratihatar.

Later, after checking the CCTV footage, Sushant was seen pocketing some money. Earlier also, a peon of the administration office of Srimandir was suspended for stealing the hundi money of Lord Jagannath and his three siblings.
