Bhubaneswar: Beneficiaries will pay back money in six equated monthly installments (EMIs) under the Odisha Jaga Mission.

The beneficiary will get the land by paying the money in installments within six months instead of three days. BMC Commissioner Vijay Amrit Kulange has given this information in a pressser earlier today.

The money cane be returned in six equated premiums amounts, said sources. Residents can pay the premium within six months, said reliable reports. The tension of the beneficiaries was increasing relating to the payment of the premium. Stakeholders were clamoring for waiver of premium, said reports.

This facility can be availed by contacting the authorities within three days of receiving the demand notice. The patta (Record of Rights (RoR)) given by BMC are completely perfect. No decision has been made to return it or take it back, said sources.

While 51 thousand patta (Record of Rights (RoR)) have been given in the first phase, the second phase will begin in October. One can take a loan from the bank by showing the land plot and you can build a house, the lands however cannot be sold.

But the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has clarified and informed that they (the patta holders) cannot sell the land.
