Nabarangpur: 5T Chairman VK Pandian today announced that the Odisha government is mulling over increasing the salary of Anganwadi, ASHA workers and others.

While attending a function of Ama Odisha Ama Nabin at Raighar in Nabarangpur district today, Pandian said that the salary of the Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, cooks of Anganwadi centres, community centre employees, master book-keepers (MBKs) under livelihood mission and ANMs will be increased soon.

It is to be noted here that the Anganwadi and ASHA workers have been demanding salary hike for a long period of time.

The 5T Chairman also received the grievances on various issues and assured early resolution. He also reviewed the progress of Development of Gupteswar Temple, Boipariguda at a cost of Rs 20.20 Crs and Jhanjabati River Barrage Project at a cost of Rs 100 Crs with irrigation potential to an ayacut area of 4720 Acres.
