Odisha Govt sets up Inquiry Commission to probe Kunduli Gangrape case
Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha on Saturday constituted an inquiry commission headed by the Koraput district judge to investigate the alleged gang rape of a minor tribal girl at Kunduli in Koraput district.
The Commission was asked to submit the report within three months.
Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had ordered a judicial probe into the incident.
The class-IX student of Musaguda village under Pottangi police limits in Koraput district had alleged that she was gangraped by a group of four security personnel on October 10, 2017, while she was returning to her village from the Kunduli Haat (market).
The incident had triggered a state wide outrage. The State police designated the incident as a Red Flag Case.
