Odisha govt advises people to wear masks as fresh Covid case detected

Odisha government advised the people mostly to the elderly and those with co-morbidities to wear facemask while going out and avoid visiting crowded places.

Bhubaneswar: Hours after detection of the a fresh Covid case in Odisha, the State government advised the people mostly to the elderly and those with co-morbidities to wear facemask while going out and avoid visiting crowded places.

Taking to its X handle, the Health & Family Welfare (H & FW) Department said, “With the emergence of #JN1CovidVariant, #Odisha Government has advised the elderly people and those with co-morbidities to wear facemask while going out and avoid visiting crowded places.”

It is to be noted here that a fresh case of COVID-19 was reported in the state in the last 24 hours. This is the first positive case since December 3.
