Odisha: Crocodile drags minor boy in Bramhani river near Nimpur; Mutilated body recovered

A crocodile dragged away a minor boy into the Bramhani River near Nimpur in Pattamundai of Odisha's Cuttack district.

Cuttack: In a shocking incident, a crocodile dragged away a minor boy into the Bramhani River near Nimpur in Pattamundai of Odisha’s Cuttack district.

The deceased has been identified as Asutosh Acharya, a 10-year-old boy from Nimpur.

According to sources, he went near the Bramhani River on Wednesday morning for the toilet. During his time, a crocodile dragged him from the back side into the river. He went missing in the river earlier. However, the locals fished out his mutilated body from the river later.

A pale of gloom has spread over the village following such a tragic incident.

Earlier,  a crocodile was beaten to death by villagers in Bihar’s Vaishali on Tuesday after the reptile allegedly killed a 14-year-old boy on the banks of the River Ganges at the district’s Khalsa Ghat.
