Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik distributes BSKY smart health cards in Kalahandi today

Kalahandi: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district today and distributed Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Health Cards. He landed at the helipad of College of Agriculture in Bhawanipatna where the program has been arranged for the distribution.

Reportedly, he inaugurated and launched new developmental projects worth Rs 900 crore for the district today. With this visit, the CM has visited Kalahandi twice in this year. Earlier in January month he had visited the district for developmental related projects.

The entire program was held in the presence of limited guests including the ASHA workers following strict Covid protocols. The RTPCR test was made mandatory for all those who attended the meeting including beneficiaries, media representatives, police and the officials of district administration. All the police personnel will be deployed to ensure all kind security during the distribution ceremony.

As many as 4,07,104 beneficiaries will be distributed with the BSKY smart health cards in Kalahandi.

The chief minister will visit to Bargarh district on November 19.

Earlier on November 2 CM Patnaik had visited Kuchinda in Sambalpur district, on October 22 he visited to Mayurbhanj. Prior to that on October 4, he distributed the health cards in Deogarh in a virtual mode, on September 22 in Titlagarh. He also laid the foundation stone for development of Harishankar Temple at Patnagarh. The smart health card was launched in Malkangiri on August 20 and Sundergarh on September 14.

On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, the Chief Minister had announced to provide Smart Health Cards to 3.5 crore people in the State under BSKY. The BSKY smart health card will entitle the beneficiaries’ free treatment at all Government hospitals of the state and more than 200 private hospitals of the state and outside.

Each family can avail treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum under the scheme and in case of women family members, the limit is Rs 10 lakh.
