Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena’s tenure extended by six months

Odisha Government on Friday extended the tenure of Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena by six months, revealed a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government on Friday extended the tenure of Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena by six months, revealed a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department.

“ln pursuance of letter No 26014/10/2022-AlS ll (Pension) dated 28.12. 2023 of Department of Personnel & Training Ministry of Personnel, P.G & Pensions, Government of India, the service of Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena IAS (RR-1989) Chief Secretary, Odisha is hereby extended for a period of six months from 01.01. 2024 to 30.06.2024,” read the notification.

It is to be noted here that the 1989-batch IAS officer, who was serving as development commissioner and special relief commissioner (SRC), was appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Odisha on February 26, 2023 and assumed the charge on March 1. He was slated to complete his tenure on December 31, 2023.
