Newborn girl found abandoned in temple in Bargarh
A newborn girl was reportedly found abandoned on the steps of Godabhagar Shiv temple in Bargarh district of Odisha today.
Bargarh: A newborn girl was reportedly found abandoned on the steps of Godabhagar Shiv temple in Bargarh district of Odisha today.
The matter came to light after the priest went to the temple early this morning to open the doors. However, he heard the cries of the newborn and rushed to it, who was found abandoned on the steps temple.
After wrapping the baby with clothes, he informed the villagers about the matter. Later, the local police rushed to the temple and rescued the baby.
While it is now known who abandoned the child there, it is suspected the baby was abandoned because it was a girl.
