Two minors were electrocuted to death after they came in contact with live wire allegedly laid by the poachers in Subarnapur district

Subarnapur: Two minors were electrocuted to death after they came in contact with live wire allegedly laid by the poachers at Hatlimunda forest under Ulunda police limits of Subarnapur district.

The minors have been identified of Jeet Dung Dung (14) and Ramesh Board (14) and were residents of the Singhapali village. The incident took place yesterday late night.

Sources say, the poachers had laid live wire in the jungle to kill the wild animals, when Jeet and Ramesh came in contact with the electric wire and were charred to death. Navin Dungdung father of Jeet went to save both, but injured himself.

Navin was immediately rescued and rushed to Ulunda hospital for medical aid.

On being informed about the incident, Ulunda police reached the spot and recovered the bodies and sent it for post-mortem and have started a probe into the matter.

The forest and police department have informed that under what circumstances, the incident took place will be known after investigation.
