Mayurbhanj: In a shocking incident, a minor was killed in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha for stealing saplings from a garden.
According to reports, the neighbour was accused of killing and hanging a minor girl for a small marigold sapling. It is worth mentioning that, Sita Hansda, the mother of the minor, has filed such a complaint.
Such a shocking incident has happened in Bhaludhara village of Udla in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on Thursday, said reliable reports. After Sita complained to the police station, the police started investigating the incident.
According to information, Sita Hasada and her husband left their 12-year-old daughter at a neighbor’s house and went to Bhubaneswar yesterday. After coming to Bhubaneswar, the neighbor called Sita and told her that her daughter had stolen the marigold sapling.
But when Sita returned home that night, she found the girl hanging from a cloth around her neck. The girl also had scars in various places on her body. Sita has accused her neighbor of killing and hanging her for stealing a marigold sapling.
The police have started investigating into the incident, said latest reports.
