MD of Global Focus Education in Bhubaneswar arrested for fraud of Rs. 43.72 lakh

Bhubaneswar: The alleged accused identified as Swadhin was one of the MDs of an organization called Global Focus Education and siphoned Rs. 43.72 lakh.
The alleged accused was one of the Directors of an organization called Global Focus Education Pvt. Ltd 29.04.2019 to 21.02.2023 and has been arrested for fraud.
According to reports, he left the company in February 2023 without settling the accounts of the company and also of the students.
About 65 who had returned from Ukrainian Universities due to Russia-Ukraine war leaving their medical education in half-way, complained before MD of the company namely Mirza Abdul Zaheer Baig that in the month of November and December- 2022.
Swadhin had collected Rs.43,72,015/- (Rupees Forty-three Lakhs Seventy-two Thousand Fifteen only) from them without the knowledge of Global Focus Education Pvt. Ltd Company with a plea that he would supply them the Transcripts & Certificates (TC) from Ukrainian Universities.
He collected the said money through the bank account of his mother identified as Pravati Mohapatra. But it is worth mentioning that, he did not supply the transcripts & certificates (TC) to the students, rather avoided them and their parents with an ill intention of cheating the students.
Reports said that, He has misappropriated the entire amount of Rs. 43,72,015/- (Rupees Forty-three Lakhs Seventy-two Thousand Fifteen only). He has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court of Law. Further investigation is in progress.
