Married couple killed under suspicion of black magic in Odisha’s Gajapati
A married couple of Ahopanka village of Gajapati district were murdered at their home under suspicion of black magic.
Gajapati: A gruesome double murder of a married couple in Gajapati has raised suspicion of black magic. The heinous crime took place under the jurisdiction of the Adaba police station of Ahopanka village of Gajapati district.
The victims, husband and his wife Kapilendra Malik and Shashita Malik are of Ahopanka village. It has been accused of murdering the wife while killing the husband at home.
According to information, earlier, some people shot Kapalendra Malik of Ghodapanka village following the superstition of killing people.
After treatment and recovery, Kapilendra and his family lived in Adaba. For the past five months, Kapilendra was living with his family in Ghodapanka village.
On Monday evening, some miscreants attacked Kapilendra and his wife with deadly weapons. When Kapilendra died on the spot, his wife Sashita somehow escaped from the spot. Later she found dead at the top of the hill.
However, the villagers did not give any accurate information about the incident. Soon after receiving the information Adaba police reached the village and seized the dead body and started investigating the incident.
