Maoists call bandh in Rayagada today, Poster surfaces

The Central committee of outlawed CPI (Maoist) organisation has called a bandh in Rayagada district of Odisha today.

Rayagada: The Central committee of outlawed CPI (Maoist) organisation has called a bandh in Rayagada today that is on Monday. A poster has surfaced at Pankalguri near Hanumantpur in Chandrapur block of Rayagada district.

The red rebels have blocked the road by cutting a tree, which has obstructed the traffic movement in the area.

The Mao poster left by the Maoists states the government to fulfill various demands. They have demanded the establishment of Adarsha school, hospital in every panchayat.

The Red outfit also demanded an old age pension of 3,000, an unemployment allowance of Rs.3000, and monthly stipend of Rs 3,000 for SC/ST students.

The other demands made by the Red outfit include the distribution of forest land to poor people, and the right valuation of forest products, to stop the sell of liquor, and to fulfill the demands of Anganwadi and teachers.
