Locals attack examiners for not allowing malpractice during Odisha Matric exam

Nabarangpur: Tension ran high on the premises of Govt S.S.D Girls’ High School in Dalabeda village under Chandahandi block in the district after some locals attacked the examiners by hurling stones at them.

According to reports, soon after the last paper of the Odisha matric exam began yesterday, some locals tried to provide copy to the students. However, when the exam centre authorities and school teachers protested their act, they hurled stones at them and starting abusing them. Following which, the school officials could not come out of the school even two hours after completion of the exam.

Local police arrived on the spot after getting information from the superintendent of the exam centre and dispersed the angry locals.

Chandahandi Additional Tehsildar Sarat Sabar and Umerkote SDPO Hemant Kumar Padhi also rushed to the school and took stock of the situation. However, the cops are yet to begin any investigation as no written police complaint over the incident was filed by the school authorities.
