Khurda: A man reportedly launched an indefinite hunger strike over the alleged stubborn attitude of Bolagarh Tehsildar in a land dispute case in Odisha’s Khurda district today.

As alleged by one Narendra Kumar Sahu, he had constructed a house on the land of his forefathers and living in it since long. However, now a fencing wire has been erected infront of his house following the direction of the local Tehsildar. It allegedly caused massive inconveniences in the entry and exit of the Sahu family who used the land as path to their house.

“Three months ago I had appraised the tehesildar over the issue and asked him to remove the fencing wire infront of my house as it was causing massive inconvenience to us. I also informed about it to the district collector and requested to solve my problem. However, I was forced to launch the indefinite hunger strike as no action has been taken yet,” Sahu said.

“I also have filed complaints at the Chief Minister Grievance Cell and Odisha Human Rights commission about it. I will continue my hunger strike till my demand is fulfilled,” he threatened.
