Jharsuguda Business Association Announces Shut Down For A Week

Jharsuguda: In view of the rising COVID-19 cases in Odisha’s Jharsuguda town, the District Merchant Association have announced to go in for a week long shutdown from today till Oct 2 in entire town as well as in Brajrajnagar and Belpahar.

As the COVID cases in the town is rising and hundreds of people are tested positive for coronavirus every day for the last two weeks. in order to protect their family and break the chain of COVID cases in the district, the Jharsuguda Chamber Of Commerce Association have taken the step.

Except vegetable, grocery, fruit, fish, egg and meat all shops and markets will remain closed for a week from tomorrow. Only these shops will open from 7 am to 12 noon abiding by strict COVID guidelines and precautions, while all the medicine stores will be open.

The Chamber of Commerce have decided unanimously for the shutdown and have requested everyone not to move out of their house unless there is an emergency.

At present, the number of cases of COVID-19 in the district has crossed 4,000 mark.
