Jajpur Bombing case: 3 accused persons forwarded to court

Jajpur: The Binjharpur police of Odisha’s Japur district, which is probing the Bagmara murder case, forwarded three accused persons to the court today.

The accused persons have been identified as Giridhari Malick and Bishnu Malick of Nagulapalli village and Surendra Mallick of Mansada village.

According to reports, the accused persons had hurled bombs at Maneiganda sand quarry on the bank of Kharasrota river in the district on March 24, which left one Surendra Das critically injured.

Surendra Das was immediately rushed to Binjharpur Community Health Centre (CHC) but later he was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) as his health condition deteriorated. However, he breathed his last while he was undergoing treatment.

The Binjharpur police started an investigation into the matter and registered a case under Section 212, 120-B, 34, 345 and 227 of the IPC. However, Jajpur SP Rahul PR suspended the SI of Binjharpur police station, Kanduri Das, for dereliction of duty on Friday.
