Bhubaneswar: While the whole of Odisha continues to reel under blistering heatwave, the IMD Regional Centre here has issued thunderstorm warning for at least 10 districts of Odisha till 5.30 pm today.
As per a Nowcast of the Centre released this morning, parts of the districts like Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Kandhamal, Balangir, Boudh, Kalahandi and Malkangiri will experience moderate thunderstorm or lighting accompanied by light to moderate rainfall with gusty wind speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph from 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
In view of the extreme weather conditions people in the alerted districts have been cautioned against venturing out of their homes and advised to take shelter in save place to avoid eventuality.
