Malkangiri: Proving extramarital life costly for a couple in the state again, a youth along with her paramour has been mercilessly thrashed in full public view in MPV-47 village in Malkangiri district yesterday.
As per the report, the accused youth identified as Pabitra Mandal of MPV-48 village was frequenting a married woman’s house in MPV-47 for past few months. Later, he had developed illicit relationship with the woman.
Some villagers, who were irked over the relationship and were objecting it, hatched a plan and caught Pabitra red-handed in compromising position from the concerned woman’s house yesterday. Later they tied the couple to a pole and beaten them up black and blue while hundreds of people watching.
The couple was later handed over to Malkangiri Police which rushed to the spot for their rescue.
