Keonjhar: A girl committed suicide by consuming poison in Barahatipur village under Ghatagaon police limits in Keonjhar district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Swapna Munda, daughter of late Gania Munda of the same village.
As per the report, the victim who went to bed after dinner last night started vomiting a few minutes later. Realising that she has consumed poison to commit suicide family members rushed her to the local Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment immediately.
Swapna succumbed under treatment at the hospital hours later.
While the exact reason behind the suicide of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, a family feud is being suspected behind the same.
