Former Aska MLA Saroj Padhy joins BJP

Bhubaneswar: Former Aska MLA Saroj Kumar Padhy joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party’s state headquarters here on Friday.

Padhy had successfully contested the 2004 Assembly Elections from Aska constituency as an independent candidate.

Besides Padhy, former member of Odisha Women Commission Tilottama Nayak joined the BJP today ahead of the 2019 elections.

Both the leaders joined the party in the presence of Petrolium Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP’s state unit chief Basanta Kumar Panda and several senior members of the party the ‘Mishrana Parba’ held at the party’s state headquarters here.

Union Minister Pradhan said, joining of Padhy and Nayak in BJP will strengthen the party in the state.
