Extramarital affair in Odisha turns ugly as man kills wife’s lover and surrenders to police
Jajpur: An extramarital affair in Odisha’s Jajpur turned ugly as a man killed his wife’s lover and surrendered to the police, said reports on Saturday. According to reports, the murder took place in Sanabazar area of Jajpur city.
The deceased has been identified as Jaydev Mahalik alias Chinu. Manas Ranjan Panda alias Lingu of Badabazar area has surrendered in the Jajpur police station after breaking into the house and killing Chinu with a sharp weapon. Chinu was accused of having an immoral relationship with Manas’s wife.
According to information, Jaydev alias Chinu was having an illicit relationship with Manas’s wife for many years. Manas had complained to the police that two years ago, Chinu broke into his house and repeatedly molested his wife. Chinu was arrested by the police and taken to court based on this allegation.
Later it is worth mentioning that, through some local gentlemen a compromise was reached between the two. A few days later however it was heard that Chinu was having an affair with Manas’s wife. Chinu’s family has also said that Chinu was blackmailing Manas’ wife with some obscene photos.
However reports say that, when Manas was at work in Jajpur Road, Chinu barged into Manas’s house and behaved rudely with Manas’s uncle who was at home and objected to this. As a result, Chinu abused Manas’s uncle in vulgar language.
Later on reports say that regarding this extramarital affair in Odisha’s Jajpur, Manas came from Jajpur Road straight to Chinu’s house in Sanabazar area in Jajpur and killed him with a sharp weapon. After receiving a complaint about this, the police reached the spot and continued the investigation. This incident has created chaos in the area, said reports.
