Eminent film director Himansu Khatua felicitated with ‘Living Legend’ at Kalinga Literary Festival

Bhubaneswar: National Award winning film director from Odisha and SRFTI Director Himansu Sekhar Khatua was felicitated with ‘Living Legend’ award at the second day of the ongoing Kalinga Literary Festival (KLF) in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

The 10th Kalinga Literary Festival commenced at the Swosti Premium hotel in Bhubaneswar on Friday. The three day long fest will come to an end on Sunday.

The second day of the Fest unfolded with an array of sessions where prominent writers, poets and journalists engaged in insightful discussions on diverse topics such as literature, journalism, women, nationalism and more. As many as 60 speakers participated in various discussions in 18 sessions on art, literature, religion and the life perspective of youth.

On the second day of the festival, achievers who have excelled in various fields were honoured. National award winning film director Himanshu Shekhar Khatua was felicitated with ‘Living Legend’ award for his contribution to the field of film and journalism. Eminent film director Rahul Rawail honoured him.

Similarly, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik was awarded in the field of social service.  ANI Founder Prem Prakash and MD of Swosty Premium were also felicitated.

Kalinga Literary Festival was conceived in 2013. The maiden chapter of the Fest was celebrated as a festival of language and literature. The literary festival was started to celebrate the achievement of the classical status for the Odia language.
