The old woman fell into the borewell hole. The accident took place near Kaimphul on Sonepur-Burdl road. It is feared to be trapped in a 20-foot-deep borewell, said reports.

According to reports, her name is Dukhi Naik and her age is 80 years. She had gone to Gobindpur village under Khaliapali panchayat to her daughters house. Dukhi fell into the borewell when she she had gone to the forest to make a broom, said reliable reports in this regard.

The fire brigade team from Sonepur and the NDRF reached the spot and is carrying out rescue operations. On the other hand, intensive work is going on to rescue the old woman from the borewell.

Oxygen is being piped in to keep her alive. This information was given by the Fire DG Sudhanshu Sarangi. A parallel road is being constructed to rescue the elderly woman. It will take 45 minutes to an hour to reach her. Efforts are on for a safe rescue. Detailed reports awaited in this matter.
