Ekamra Bhumi Pujan: Gajapati Maharaj Divyasingha Deba to attend event

The Ekamra Bhumi Pujan ceremony underway in Bhubaneswar will be attended by the Gajapati Maharaj Divyasingha Deba on June 27.

Bhubaneswar: The Ekamra Bhumi Pujan ceremony of the Ekamra Kshetra Amenities and Monuments Revival Plan started on June 26, 2023. The event will be a three-day long extravaganza that is from  June 26 to June 28, 2023. The Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik will lay the foundation stone of the project on June 28, 2023.

On June 27 that is today, the Gajapati Maharaj of Puri Divyasingha Deba is scheduled to attend the function and participate in the yajna that is underway since yesterday.

The program has been organized by the Lingaraj Temple Trust Board with the help of Sevayatas of Lingaraj temple, while Balwant Singh, Vice-Chairman, BDA has been assigned as the Chief Coordinator of the program for coordinating between various agencies.

The program includes a mega yajna and various religious and cultural programs, lakhs of devotees are expected to gather at the event. Special focus has been given on arrangement of parking, sanitation, electricity, drinking water facilities during the program. The highlight of the event will be to throw light on the abundant cultural heritage and traditional values of Ekamra Kshetra.

The Ekamra Kshetra Amenities & Monuments Revival Plan include construction of Lingaraj Entry plaza, Bhajan Mandap, Heritage Park and Kedar Gouri plaza, complete pedestrianisation of the Bindu Sagar road stretch, rejuvenation of Bindu Sagar and other holy ponds, Lingaraj Heritage Project, redevelopment of Kedargaauri and Mukteswar temple premises, e-auto service, seamless traffic management facility etc.
