Phulbani: Kandhamal MP Dr. Achyuta Samanta has started campaigning for the Municipal Elections in Phulbani of Kandhamal district in Odisha.
On the first day, Dr. Samanta visited the Ambedkar Sahi in ward no. 4 and asked to vote for BJD’s councillor candidate Lochan Kanhar. He also went to the Kumbhar Pada in ward no. 10 and campaigned for BJD councillor candidate Jay Behera.
Similarly, Dr Samanta also visited the Salunki Sahi in ward no. 11 and sought vote for councillor candidate Daruna Behera.
The Kandhamal MP also visited three wards of the Municipality area and sought vote for BJD’s Phulbani Municipality Chairman candidate Poonam Kanhar.
During the campaign the voters welcomed Dr Samanta at different places with flower bouquets and sounding hulahuli. In his speech the MP told about the people oriented yojanas of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik benefit of which has been reaped even in the rural areas.
During the campaign, Phulbani District BJD president Saroj Karna, BJD Student President Sunil Shetty and Phulbani Muncipality chairman candidate Poonam Kanhar were present.
The councillor candidates conveyed their gratitude to Dr Samanta for his campaign in Phulbani. He said that if all councillor candidates and chairman will win from BJD Phulbani will grow up as a beautiful town.
