According to reports, the dismembered body of a woman has been found from the river bed. The police recovered the dismembered body of a woman from the river near Nuagaon under Puri Sadar police station limits.
The deceased woman is about 35-years-old. Her throat has been slit in half, while her left arm is completely severed from her body.
The face of the woman has been completely destroyed, making her identification difficult. The Sadar police and scientific team have reached the spot and are investigating.
The police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem and registered a case of death. However, the police suspect that it was a well-planned murder. So, who and why killed the woman still remains unclear.
