Devotees break door of Dhabaleswar Temple for darshan of Lord Shiva on Bada Osa

Devotees reportedly broke the door of the famous Dhabaleswar Temple in Cuttack’s Athagarh for darshan of lord Shiva on Saturday morning.

Cuttack: Devotees reportedly broke the door of the famous Dhabaleswar Temple in Cuttack’s Athagarh, which was locked by servitors following an arbitrary strike on Friday.

Like every year, hundreds of devotees devotees throng to the temple since morning to witness ‘Badasinghar Besha’on the auspicious occasion of ‘Bada Osa’ and take blessings of the Lord Shiva today.

However, they found the door closed early on Saturday morning and after waiting for some time they grew impatient and broke open the door to gain entry into the temple for the darshan of the Lord by themselves.

The servitors lock up the temple since yesterday morning after a spat with the district administration. Even after several rounds of talks with the administration, the problem was not solved, so the servitors kept the door closed even on Bada Osha today. So, the devotees had to broke the doors to get darshan.

For Bada Osa, Baba Dhabaleshwar will be served with gajavog on Trayodashi and Chaturdashi.

The administration has made extensive arrangements for a peaceful and safe darshan of Lord. A police force, ODRAF at the river ghats, fire brigade, medical teams have been deployed to maintain law and order.
