Depression over bay of bengal, heavy rain predicted in Odisha for next 2 days

A depression over Bay of Bengal has been formed. The depression is likely to trigger heavy rain in the state of Odisha for the next two days. 

Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area has formed over north-west coast of Odisha under the influence of the cyclonic circulation which has turned into a depression over Bay of Bengal.

The low-pressure area is likely to turn into a depression over Bay of Bengal and pass over Odisha in the next two days in the west-northwest direction.

The latest report of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on its official Twitter handle informed that a depression over Bay of Bengal has been formed. The depression is likely to trigger heavy rain in the state of Odisha for the next two days.

It is worth mentioning that an Orange warning has been issued to four districts of Odisha for heavy to very heavy rainfall, the districts are as follows:

Koraput, Nabrangpur, Nuapada, and Kandhamal.

Furthermore, a Yellow warning has been issued to 11 districts for rainfall, the districts are as follows:

Puri, Khorda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Cuttack, Boudh, Sonpur, Balangir, and Bargarh.
