Bhubaneswar: In the major IT raid in Odisha which started on Wednesday, crores of rupees were seized by the Income Tax Department, said reliable reports.

The major IT raid in Odisha had started on Wednesday said reliable reports. The raids were  underway at fourteen places simultaneously. The raid has taken place due to an alleged tax fraud by an organization.

According to reliable reports, the raid took place on a company based in Boudh district of Odisha. The private distillery had allegedly committed income tax fraud to the tune of crores of rupees.

Presently it is worth mentioning that the raids were underway at fourteen locations in five districts of Odisha namely Khurda, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Raygada and Boudh.

Other than these five places in Odisha stated above, simultaneous raids are underway in Kolkata and Ranchi by the Income Tax Department, said reliable reports.

It is further reported that the IT has raided the residences of all the Directors and the assistant managing directors (ADMs) involved in the Company. Further detailed reports awaited in this regard.
