Cold wave in Odisha: Mercury drops to 6 degree Celsius; Twin city record below normal temperature

Odisha has been experiencing cold waves recently, where the temperature have dropped to six degree Celsius in the state.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has been experiencing cold waves recently, where the temperature have dropped to six degree Celsius in the state.

Kirei of Odisha’s Sundargarh district has recorded 6 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, nine other places have recorded night temperature below 11 degree Celsius. The place includes Rourkela (7.9 degree Celsius), Jharsuguda (8 degree Celsius), Sundargarh (9 degree Celsius), Angul (10 degree Celsius), Koraput (10.1 degree Celsius), Ranital in Bhadrak (10.2 degree Celsius), Keonjhar (10.4 degree Celsius) and Sambalpur and Phulbani at 11 degree Celsius each.

At the same time, twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack have recorded 15 and 14 degree Celsius night temperature respectively.

As per the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, there are high chances of a fall in the minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degree Celsius at many places in Odisha during the next 48 hours amid dry weather conditions.
